Every bell jar lantern has its own distinct character, and this charming circa 1870 pendant is no exception. Manufactured by S&C Bishop of England, the hall lantern has the Bishop seal on its pontil and features its authentic smoke bell and rolled brass band. In addition, a finely etched "trellis" pattern in the hand blown glass that complements the shape of this diminutive fixture perfectly. The light has been newly electrified with a three-bulb candelabra cluster accommodating up to 60 watts per bulb. It arrives ready to install from the toned brass ceiling canopy and chain provided.
Note: There is a small, old chip in the glass pontil, which is not uncommon in bell jar lanterns of this age. This will not, however, be a distraction from its beauty when it is hanging.
