Large 19th Century Frosted Bell Jar Lantern with Star Etching

Manufactured by S&C Bishop in the late 19th century, this larger-sized bell jar lantern has a beautiful form that is accentuated by the fine quality hand blown glass that Bishop is known for. In addition, the frosting of the glass and the etched stars combine to cast a warm light. The hall lantern has its original smoke bell and brass band with ivy motif. It has been newly electrified with a three-bulb candelabra cluster accommodating up to 60 watts per bulb. Toned brass ceiling canopy and chain are provided.
Dimensions: 12.125" diameter x 23.625" length
