Bell Jar Lantern with Trellis Etching

A 19th century English bell jar lantern with lovely form and an etched trellis motif. This circa 1890 handblown glass pendant is in very good condition and features its original smoke bell, chains, and a unique pontil. The brass band, which has an attractive tone and embossed pattern, has been replaced to ensure the integrity of the bell jar when hanging. Originally for candles, the lantern has been newly electrified with a three-bulb candelabra cluster accommodating up to 60 watts per bulb. It arrives ready to install from the toned brass ceiling canopy and chain provided.
Dimensions: 10.75" diameter x 21" length (overall height of fixture)
