Pair of Painted, Carved Teak Wood Columns from Gujarat, India

Beautiful pair of authentic teak wood columns from India, circa 1900. Colorful, yet subdued, the pillars have their original paint—a blue-green medley with hints of deep red. The Corinthian capitals are hand-carved with a floral design, and the sandstone bases have retained remnants of color. These Gujarati architectural treasures are in excellent condition for their age. There is a small chip on one of the corners of the sandstone base (see image #10), which is neither unexpected, nor a distraction from their beauty.
Dimensions: 85.25" height x 10.50" width x 10.50" depth
