Bruce and Deborah Phillips of Fair Trade have a vast collection of hand-blown, 19th C. English hurricane shades for use on brass-arm wall sconces. While originally used with candles, they can be wired to accommodate a single candelabra bulb. These can be used in dining rooms, over a mantle piece, along a hallway, etc. We have a choice of custom-made brass arms from which you can choose to add a pair of 19th C. shades. Hurricane shields were used as free-standing candle shields often on a table outside on the veranda. Check our collection of these hand-blown pairs, some with etching and some without.
