About Us
Bruce Phillips, Fair Trade’s founder, travel throughout India to hand-select each item in the collection.  Since 1984, Fair Trade has been a respected source for fine Anglo Indian and British Colonial furniture from the 19th Century to the art deco period, 19th C. bell jar chandelier lamps, hurricane sconces and table lamps and architectural artifacts.

For over 20 years, they have become a valuable resource to leading interior designers and decorators nationwide.  It is through these many years of travel and buying and selling, that Fair Trade developed a fine eye for unusual pieces sourced from a wide array of contacts.  From these many excursions to the Indian sub-continent, Bruce has acquired a number of intriguing pieces to suit a variety of client’s needs.  Merchandise from their collection has appeared in El Décor, House Beautiful, Martha Stewart Living, Architectural Digest, and New Spaces-Old World Charm.

During this same time, Fair Trade has become a notable source for fine antique gold jewelry from India.  The high karat gold and precious and semi-precious gem stones coupled with intricate hand work make for outstanding and unique pieces.  Browse the jewelry website at:  www.FineIndianGoldJewelry.com to see the current collection.
